DeSantis costs taxpayers millions for Florida's legal bills defending ridiculous, unconstitutional legislation

Just a quick note today… Check out these recent stories about how Governor DeSantis has cost Florida in the neighborhood of $5 million of legal fees defending the ridiculous laws he has shepherded through the Florida legislature, as well as unconsitutional executive actions such as attempting to appoint someone to the Florida Supreme Court with less than the 10 years of experience required by the Florida Constitution. The “anti-woke” laws are particularly problematic with their oppression of free speech and endorsement of government overreach that stands in stark contrast to purported principles of limited government espoused by DeSantis and other Republicans. DeSantis has the courts stacked in his favor. Although they often give a thumbs up to these actions, many items are surprisingly being struck down by right-wing judges and justices.
